- seminar circuit for new work, often 2-3 years before formal publication, and additional years before it shows up in JSTOR since for many journals they impose a rolling restriction on articles less than 5 years old

- can find out who used, great for following up an article where key words / search terms aren’t productive
- future topics: Zotero
